Submission deadline
The current cycle deadline is posted on energycreates.com and inside the submission portal. Energy Creates Inc. may modify the Deadline at any time. All works must be submitted on or before the cutoff time on the day of the Deadline.
Anonymous, expert, final.
Works are judged anonymously. Winners are selected by the consensus of a panel of expert jurors and in the sole discretion of the jurors.
Only the work submitted is considered by the jurors. Other documents, images, or diagrams are not eligible for consideration. Jurors are chosen by Energy Creates Inc. in its sole discretion. All decisions by the jury are final, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
The prize.
Up to $100,000.
Each winner receives tuition and mandatory fees for their full program, up to a cumulative maximum of $100,000 CAD. Applicable at any accredited institution worldwide.
5 winners.
Five scholarships awarded each year. Up to one may go to a non-resident of Canada enrolled in an eligible program.
Up to 5 Scholarships are available to win during the Competition, of which up to 1 may be awarded to a non-resident of Canada.
Each winner receives an amount each year equal to their tuition costs at an Eligible Program and other mandatory fees for each year of their educational program, up to a cumulative maximum of $100,000.00 CAD (the "Scholarship"). This may include reimbursement for any year(s) already completed at an Eligible Program, with proof of payment.
The winner is required to provide Energy Creates Inc. or its designated scholarship administrator with documentation from their Eligible Program outlining proof of tuition owing and enrollment in the program. Participants maintain ownership of their works, although rights to reproduce and distribute them publicly are limited by the licenses granted above.
The Scholarship is not transferable and includes only what is specifically mentioned in these rules. If for any reason the winner is unable to use the Scholarship in whole or in part, or is unwilling to accept it, the Scholarship or portion thereof is forfeited without compensation. Energy Creates Inc. and its affiliates, directors, officers, and employees are released from all obligations toward that winner.
To be proclaimed winners or finalists, participants must meet all conditions and eligibility criteria. Winners and finalists, or in the case of minors their parents or guardians, must provide information requested by Energy Creates Inc. and sign a declaration of eligibility, releasing Energy Creates Inc. and its affiliates from liability for damage or loss whether arising from involvement in the Competition or from the awarding, acceptance, or use of the Scholarship.
A winner’s refusal to accept a Scholarship releases Energy Creates Inc. and its affiliates from all obligations toward that winner.
